Welcome to our home! We have enjoyed our home since purchasing about 5 yrs ago. We have loved making memories with our family and friends and hope you will be able to do the same. We have a lakefront cottage with 3 comfortable bedrooms and 3 full baths. The house has sleeping space for up to 10. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third has a king. The house also has 4 built-in bunks.. There is an open concept living area upstairs with great views of the lake and mountains. It has a large tv for watching the big game or that late night movie. Downstairs is a second living area for the kids or additional guests. Enjoy indoor and outdoor dining areas with seating for everyone with meals prepared in a fully equipped kitchen. A great screened porch allows for early morning coffee as you watch the fish jump and the fog clear from the lake. Our home offers over 200 ft of waterfront with a covered boat/swim dock. You can spend the day on the water in view of Georgia’s own Brasstown Bald. We are within close proximity to 2 of the marinas on Lake Nottely making it easy to rent a boat or jet skis for the day or longer. Our dock is available to tie your boat to. LAKE & DOCK As you stand inside the cabin looking out, it appears that the lake is an extension of the cabin. In fact, it is just a few steps outside the lake level, where you will find a lake deck and dock. On the lake deck, you will find six floats, two paddleboards, and two kayaks, all with paddles. (The lake deck and stairs will be renovated once the water level falls during December.) The dock has a broad platform for sunning, chairs for relaxing, two benches, and a table for early morning coffee, afternoon snacks, or a glass of wine or two. If you have a license, you can fish right off of our dock or take out the kayaks for cove fishing. Our cove is known for some of the best catches on the lake. You will find fishing rods, a bait trap, and a fishing box with lures on the terrace. Good luck in catching the big one! (Live lake bait to come) BRING YOUR BOAT You can bring your own boat during the summer months, and there is a no-cost. The public access boat ramp is just 5 minutes away. You can dock your boat alongside our dock, where we have installed ropes for your use. OUTDOOR LIVING This cabin hosts one large deck, one large terrace, one firepit area, and the dock area. The main floor deck has two dining tables, a six-seat and four-seat, for your use. There is also a bench by the Webber grill so someone can keep the grill master company. The lake level terrace offers one sofa, two chairs, one cooler bar, one barn red picnic table, firewood for burning, fishing rods and equipment, and a rack for swim floats. The firepit area is located just down the hill. Feel free to use the firewood for a night of fun memory-making. Our home was recently renovated and features 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a gourmet kitchen, open living/dining space, incredible screen porch and multiple decks to relax on. Bring your own boat, jet ski and water toys or rent from multiple marinas on the lake and use our private dock. The house is great for family gatherings or cozy for two! The main level has a large, gourmet kitchen that is fully stocked with all your cooking needs, open family room and dining area. This level has a bedroom (queen **queen replaced by king - coming soon**) with private bath and a second bedroom (king) off the kitchen area with full bath. All main level areas have access to the 60 foot screen porch from the open living space or either bedroom! Enjoy a wall of glass windows/doors give sweeping views of the lake from all living spaces. The screen porch is a favorite location at Happy Retreat! Views are simply amazing from here. We have a large deck off the screen porch for grilling, dining and relaxing overlooking the lake. Towards the waters edge we have a large deck and covered pavilion with a fan and stone fireplace. Enjoy sunbathing, time around the fireplace roasting s’mores and dining by the lake. The main living space has a gas log fireplace and ceiling fans in all rooms and screen porch to help make you more comfortable. There are Smart TV's in the living space and bedrooms, very fast Fiber Internet and central heating and air conditioning. The basement level has a game room and full bathroom. A separate bedroom is set up for a kids or family sleeping area containing a queen, a separate twin, a full/twin bunk and a convertible sofa. An additional room contains a queen and twin bunk beds. The basement holds plenty of entertainment with an air hockey table, 3 in 1 game, 2 televisions, dvd/vcr, library and beverage refrigerator. Enjoy the year-round lake view from the wall of windows or the expansive deck and porch areas. Take a short walk down the gentle slope to the water's edge to enjoy everything the lake has to offer. Take the cabin's three-person canoe out and explore the lake year-round. Tie up your own boat or bring a rental boat to Lake Escape's private boat dock, which is useable during the warm months (May through early September), when the water elevation is maintained at recreational levels. Enjoy the lounge chair seating and horseshoes by the fire ring at the water's edge. At night, jump in the outdoor hot tub with lake view, shoot a game of pool, or watch a Blu-ray movie in front of the fire. Lake Escape is only 25 minutes from the Harrah's Valley River Casino in Murphy, NC. The spacious lodge-style interior sleeps up to eight. The main level has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, great room, and dining area, all under a cathedral ceiling. The great room has a gas-log fireplace, DirecTV satellite, Blu-ray player, and 43" high definition TV with over 100 channels, and a wall of windows with a great view of the lake. The great room seating area has a high-back sofa with two reclining seats, a high-back rocker/recliner easy chair, and a high-back loveseat. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar/island. A large bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom with tub/shower, and a laundry area with washer and dryer complete the main level. Exterior doors from that level lead to the covered porch with gas grill, the open deck, and the large screened porch with hammock and dining table. Up the stairs from the great room is the private master suite with a large bedroom with king bed and seating area, a walk-in closet, and a master bath with tub/shower. The cabin's lower level has a large game room with gas-log fireplace, 40-inch DirecTV satellite high definition smart TV with over 100 channels, Blu-ray player, convertible ping pong/pool table, and queen sleeper sofa. There is a year-round lake view from the room, as well as from the patio with hot tub outside the French doors. The lower level also has a bedroom with twin beds and a third full bathroom with tub/shower.
